Dear Faithful Ones,

Each of the Gospels records the events of the Passover Feast, the Lord’s Supper, prior to Jesus’ arrest.  But the Gospel of John looks not at the meal itself, but at Jesus’ action of washing the disciples’ feet.  John focused on the servant aspect of Jesus’ character.

You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord’, and rightly so, for that is what I am.  Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.  I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.  I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. – John 13:13-16

Your ministry of prayer advocacy washes our feet.  Thank you.  Pray that we will wash the feet of our MNK friends.

Pray with us that the MNK will see that indeed, the Light has come!  And they do not need to live in darkness.

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light. – Isaiah 60:1-2

Please let me know how I can assist you in becoming more knowledgeable about the Mandinka as you advocate on their behalf.
